Chude Jideonwo, co-founder, Joy, Inc., and RED, through his soon-to-launch radio show, Retail Religion, will host frontline leaders from different faith communities, on an Instagram live series themed ‘The Future of Faith’, that will explore conversations on contemporary religion, spirituality, the impact of the global pandemic on religion, and what the new world would look like for religious practices.
Retail Religion is a product of #WithChude, a special series of targeted multimedia conversations and investigations that leverage the voice, network and passion of its host to underline social issues, raise social consciousness and spark social movements, is at the media forefront of resetting society’s attitudes – across emotions, intellect and spirituality.
“Riding on our interest in exploring religion and spirituality from the inside out — what we believe, how we express it and, the difference it makes in our lives – the conversations on Retail Religion’s The Future of Faith, will explore what faith means for people in times like this, and how it could change the future of many religious communities and their practices,” Chude said in a statement.
Those who listen in will glean from the conversations with these spiritual leaders and learn how to navigate current realities – one of which is physical isolation from the community at a time when they most need support – and the new possibilities that will emerge for religion and religious activities after the pandemic has passed over us.
This series will begin today, May 11, 2020, and run through June, 2020, at 6 pm every day. Today’s live session will kick off with Pastor Idowu Iluyomade of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David parish. The series would have other guests like Ituah Ighodalo, Wale Adefarasin, Nurudeen Lemu, Ayo Sogunro, among other respected voices from the different faith communities.
The Future of Faith series is presented Y!/YNaija.com in partnership with Radio Now. Follow Chude on his Instagram page @chudeity to join in the conversations.
