Adebola Williams today joined others to speak on the theme ‘Think Equal, Build Smart, and Innovate for Change’ at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
The NSE, in conjunction with the global exchanges, celebrated the International Women’s Day by hosting a half-day seminar with relevant activities in line with the objective to accelerate progress towards bridging gender parity.
Industry leaders such as Adebola Williams, CEO RED | For Africa; Sandra Aguebor, Founder, Lady Mechanic; Kemi Awodein, MD Chapel Hill Dunham; Sarah Makka-Ugbagbe, Country Director, Nigeria, ONE; Dr. Ola Orekunrin Brown, Founder, Flying Doctors and Olusola Amusan, Philanthropies Lead, Microsoft Nigeria, were hosted to panel discussion.
Speaking about the importance of the representation of women in the media, Adebola Williams said, “We need to create new narratives about women in the media. People will imitate what they see”.
To bring the event to a close, as is the tradition at the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Adebola Williams, alongside other panelists, rang the bell for equality.
